GimmeADream 1924 - Authorization to sign the deed of sale of the land was made by the president of the school board. This served as the erection of the school that later became the Centre Jos Lebourdais in Grindstone.
1988 - Brion Island Ecological Reserve is designated by the Council of Minister of Quebec.

GimmeADream 1948 - Hector Carbonneau wrote two memoirs about the Islanders on: The Speech of the Madelinois and the archaisms of Madelinois speech. The Royal Society published the Canadian papers and invited Mr. Carbonneau to give lectures on the radio about it.

GimmeADream 1861 - In the last will and testament of Mr. Bélanger, a priest, he left five pounds to each of the Roman Catholic missions of the Islands and recommended the education of 10 young Acadians of these missions.
