November 30th

1946 - Completion of construction of the Church of St. Luke, in Grindstone, following the fire of the previous Anglican church.

1969Two fire trucks were offered by the Quebec Civil Protection. Mr. Octave Turbide, prefect, took the keys.

November 29th

1868 – The Atrevida, a brick of 151 tonnage, registered in Jersey Island, England, left Gaspe and headed for Rio de Janiro, Brazil, with a load of dried cod fish when in a violent north-west storm with snow she went ashore at Grosse Isle. The captain James Chamber and his crew stayed on the islands for the winter. The sale of the wreck was by public auction on January 21, 1869.

November 28th

1899 – Bishop Jérémiah Blaquière arrived as pastor in Lavernière.

1992 - Official inauguration of the church as a historic monument Lavernière after renovations.

November 27th

1821 – Armand Bourgeois, oldest son of Jean Bourgeois and the late Marie Chiasson married Sophie Lapierre, the daughter of Jean Lapierre and Marie Cormier. The marriage was officiated by Father J.M. Madran, priest.

1962 - Formation of the Islands regional school board.

1999 - Inter-Canadien terminated its operations on the Islands.

November 26th

1917 – At the municipal council in Amherst,  It was lawful for anyone not working on winter roads, to pay compensation for the work to the district inspector for the road on which they depend because of his absence, at reasonable cost. The tags were paid directly by the municipal Council and the placement of tags would be executed by the chore.

1948 - Inauguration of the Grotto of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Havre-aux-Maisons.

1986 - Symposium on Agriculture on the Magdalen Islands, entitled “For economic balance, Our own agriculture.”
