$1.40.9/liter…, that is what I paid at the pumps on the evening of May 10th, 2011. The radio had just said there would be a big rise at the pumps at midnight.

I put in $47 of regular gas into the car but didn’t return with the truck. There was less than a quarter of a tank in the truck but I was afraid that if I put more gas in it than I needed, someone would steal the gas at night. There is no lock on the truck’s tank.

I could easily have put $200 in the tank of this truck, which I now only use for the support of the three horses.
